TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 24, 2018 Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) will collaborate with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to study the potential of combined engine cycle technology for aircraft propulsion systems, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The company said Tuesday the project seeks to explore the integration of turbine and hypersonic engines as part of DARPA’s Advanced Full Range Engine program in efforts to develop a new propulsion system for aircraft operating across the full range of speeds.
