The Potomac Officers Club Adds Two Panelists to the Defense Research and Development Summit


TYSONS CORNER, VA, JANUARY 16, 2017 – The Potomac Officers Club — a division of Executive Mosaic — has added two panelists to its list of speakers for the third Defense Research and Development Summit. The panelists are: Dr. Thomas Burns (DARPA) and Maj. Gen. William Cooley (Air Force Research Laboratory).

Given the rapid pace at which technology advances in the private sector, the Department of Defense has been taking a closer look at how industry can assist in the creation of cutting edge defense technologies. Cooperation between the military and the commercial world will be vital to ensure that the U.S. remains a global defense leader and continued cooperation will lead to a greater number of innovations in the defense sector.

Join the Potomac Officers Club for the 2018 Defense Research & Development Summit to hear from government and industry leaders on how the public and private sectors are working together to foster innovation and assist the U.S. military.
