General Dynamics‘ (NYSE:GD) Electric Boat subsidiary has received a potential five-year, $239.9 million U.S. Navy contract to provide non-nuclear repair services to the Naval Submarine Support Facility in Connecticut.
The Defense Departmentsaid Thursday the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract contains a base value of $45.8 million and work runs through December 2022.
Electric Boat will perform overhaul, maintenance, repair and modernization upgrades to submarines, ship alterations, temporary modifications and field changes.
The business will also provide supplies, ancillary equipment, corrective and preventative maintenance services.
The Naval Sea Systems Command obligated $20.1 million at the time of award from the service branch’s fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds.
