TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 5, 2017 Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) has collaborated with NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to complete the critical design review on the second Joint Polar Satellite System spacecraft, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
The company said Friday the JPSS-2 assessment also looked into its capability to integrate five government-developed instruments onto the weather satellite and support the launch, initial operations and on-orbit satellite check-out ahead of the turnover to NOAA.
