TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 21, 2017 ” Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory will build a gamma-ray and neutron spectrometer for the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency’s exploration missions to two Martian moons under an agreement with NASA, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
The lab said Friday the MEGANE instrument to be built as part of NASA’s Discovery Program will work to help JAXA study the formation of Mars’ Phobos and Deimos moons in support of the Martian Moons eXploration mission to launch in 2024.
