TYSONS CORNER, VA, Oct. 12, 2017 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received clearance from the U.S. Air Force on the availability of the first GPS III satellite for launch in 2018 and will await further approval to begin pre-launch preparations, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
The company said Tuesday GPS III Space Vehicle 01 was designated “available for launch” in line with the Air Force’s final acceptance of the satellite following the development program.
