TYSONS CORNER, VA, Oct. 4, 2017 ” The third batch of Iridium Communications (Nasdaq: IRDM) Iridium NEXT satellites are scheduled for liftoff on Oct. 9 as SpaceX prepares the Falcon 9 rocket that will carry the payloads to space, ExecutiveBiz reported Sept. 27.
Spaceflight Now reported Sept. 26 that Iridium CEO Matt Desch, an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2017, indicated the move from the previous Oct. 4 launch date was a request from SpaceX to enable more time for rocket processing.
