John Avalos
John Avalos, formerly vice president of business development at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH), has joined SOS International as chief operating officer.
Avalos brings to the position more than two decades of experience in business development, corporate operations and profit-and-loss management across defense, civilian agency and intelligence markets, SOSi said Wednesday.
Having worked successfully at several of the largest firms in the defense and intelligence sector, both his industry experience and technical knowledge align precisely with our strategic goals, said Julian Setian, SOSi president and CEO.
Avalos spent a decade at BAE Systems intelligence and security business as business development VP.
He also held intelligence support roles during his eight-year career in the U.S. Army.
He currently serves as a board member of the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and as an adviser for EmergenSee.
