TYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 15, 2017 Shaun Bierweiler, vice president of Hortonworks‘ (Nasdaq: HDP) public sector business, has pointed to culture change at government agencies as one of the key drivers of development in big data storage, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
He said in an interview published Aug. 8 that data has become the center of decision-making in government amid the increased volume and emergence of new structures and sources of data as well as the need to extract value from them and share those insights with other users.
Bierweiler noted that an enterprise open source platform will work to address the various needs of the end users of data.
