TYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 1, 2017 Mike Leff, vice president for strategy and operations within AT&T‘s (NYSE: T) global public sector business, has said the company is working to develop a “third-generation” network that is software-defined and data-driven in order to support customer missions.
“[Customers] will be able to download and consume — in near real time — critical network functions of their choice with better price points, higher reliability, and greater security,” Leff told ExecutiveBiz in an interview published Thursday.
He noted that AT&T also continues to explore innovation opportunities in the global public sector market, including drone operations, space communications and “smart” military bases.
