Christopher Kubasik
Christopher Kubasik, president and chief operating officer of L3 Technologies (NYSE: LLL), has been elected to serve as president, CEO and a board member of the company in a move that takes effect Jan. 1.
He will succeed the retiring Michael Strianese, who will continue to serve as executive chairman of the board, L3 said Wednesday.
Michael Strianese
Kubasiks 30 years of experience in the defense industry position him well to fill the CEO role seamlessly as L3 continues to expand and fulfill its vision, said Robert Millard, lead independent director of the board.
Strianese, an inductee into Executive Mosaics Wash100 for 2014, is a two-decade company veteran who has been CEO since 2006.
He played a role in the 1997 formation of L3, then L-3 Communications, where he held senior leadership roles such as chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance.
Kubasik, also an inductee into Executive Mosaics Wash100 for 2017, has been president and COO of the New York-based communications and electronics systems provider since 2015.
Prior to L3, he served as president and CEO of Seabury Advisory Group.
He also held senior executive posts at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), such as president and COO, CFO and executive VP of electronic systems.
