TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 14, 2017 BAE Systems has selected 14 companies to provide manufacturing materials and other components to support the production of three vessels under the Type 26 Global Combat Ship program in the U.K., ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
The company said Wednesday the contracts to the chosen companies located both locally and in Denmark, France, Germany and Poland are anticipated to sustain an estimated 550 jobs across the U.K. maritime industry and boost investment in the supply chain to an estimated $646 million.
