TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 3, 2017 Lisa Mascolo, managing director for the U.S. federal sector at IBMs (NYSE: IBM) global business services segment, has said the collaboration between the Department of Veterans Affairs and Defense Department in updating the former’s electronic health records system works to transform services to veterans, ExecutiveGov reported Wednesday.
Mascolo, an inductee into Executive Mosaics Wash100 for 2017, wrote in an FCW guest piece published Tuesday that the cross-agency collaboration could facilitate service delivery efficiency and advance a person-centric model for government health programs.
“VAs actions point to the potential for health IT and health data analytics to deliver the benefits of standardization, actionable insights and emerging cognitive capabilities to improve health outcomes,” she added.
