TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 14, 2017 ” Hortonworks (Nasdaq: HDP) has partnered with a ViON subsidiary to integrate their technologies to offer big data analytics in an as-a-service model to commercial and government customers, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
ViON’s Ascolta business said Thursday it will utilize the Hortonworks Data Platform to process data and support customer applications in efforts to accelerate time-to-value and decision-making.
Shaun Bierweiler, vice president of Hortonworks’ U.S. public sector business, said the combination of the company’s experience in hardware and support services with Ascolta’s managed services and platform serves to drive the delivery of data analytics as a service.
