TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 7, 2017 ” Harris (NYSE: HRS) has started the operations of four maritime vessel tracking receivers that are hosted on the Iridium Communications (Nasdaq: IRDM) satellites launched in January, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The Iridium Next-hosted payloads work to track an estimated 250,000 ships around the world and provide Automatic Identification System data to government and commercial customers, Harris said Monday.
