TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 12, 2017 ” Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) has received $92 million in orders from the U.S. Army for 7.62 mm and 5.56 mm ammunition as part of an existing supply contract, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The company said Monday it will produce the small-caliber ammunition at its Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Missouri.
Orbital ATK has previously worked with the Army to update the facility in efforts to build on product quality and performance as well as operational efficiency, safety and environmental stewardship.
