TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 6, 2017 The Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) cloud platform for the public sector has received Impact Level 4 provisional authorization from the Defense Information Systems Agency for deployment to Defense Department users, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The company said TuesdaySalesforce Government Cloud features role-based security and encryption functions and will work to help DoD mission owners and contractors manage controlled unclassified information.
“The aerospace and defense sectors are ripe for modernization — siloed systems and legacy technologies are hindering their ability to innovate at scale,” noted Dave Rey, executive vice president for the public sector at Salesforce.
He added the IL4 authorization for Salesforce Government Cloud serves to facilitate the modernization of aerospace and defense organizations.
