TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 5, 2017 Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) has begun work to produce hardware for large and intermediate-class space launch vehicles as part of a U.S. Air Force effort to develop rockets that could carry sizable payloads to space, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The company said Monday it completed design reviews, tooling fabrication and facility updates and has moved forward to production of solid rocket propulsion and other modular components for the Next Generation Launch system that would potentially accommodate large satellites for national security, commercial and scientific missions.
