TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 4, 2017 SoBran has named Shengmin Sang, a scientist at the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State Universitys Center for Excellence in Post-Harvest Technologies, as the grand prize winner in the Innovation for Impact contest, GovCon Executive reported Monday.
The company said Friday its BioScience division sponsored the research competition with the North Carolina Biotechnology Center’s Piedmont Triad office, with Sang receiving a $1,000 cash prize and $10,000 in research funds.
“The robust pool of contenders is a testament to the strong life sciences research community that has been fostered here in North Carolina,” said Gregory Kelly, senior vice president for operations at SoBran.
