TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 28, 2017 Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has worked with the Missile Defense Agency to integrate new sensors, software and infrared seeker technology to the Standard Missile-3 IIA in efforts to address space-based threats, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
Defense Systems reported Friday the team also held a demonstration of the updated SM-3 Block IIA in which the weapon system intercepted a medium-range ballistic missile target.
