TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 15, 2017 Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) has utilized a data visualization platform from the Department of Homeland Security to sequence mosquito DNA as part of efforts to establish an early indicator of disease, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
DHS said Thursday the company used the Krona open source software that the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center developed to support analysis of big data sets such as DNA sequences.
