TYSONS CORNER, VA, Feb. 27, 2017 Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has unveiled a prototype amphibious combat vehicle it developed for the U.S. Marine Corps based on ST Kinetics‘ TERREX, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
The company said TuesdayACV 1.1 will work to transport combat units from ship to shore and features updated lethality, mobility, survivability and C4ISR functions.
SAIC CEO Tony Moraco said in a report by The Post and Courier published Wednesday that the company plans to manufacture the vehicles in response to future orders at its facility in Hanahan, South Carolina.
