Lockheed to Shift 650 Fleet Ballistic Missile Program Positions to Colorado, Florida; Rick Ambrose Comments

TYSONS CORNER, VA, Feb. 27, 2017 ” Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has unveiled plans to relocate an estimated 650 positions under the Fleet Ballistic Missile program from California to Colorado and Florida by 2024, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The company said Thursday the move aims to build on skill sets, resources and infrastructure available in Colorado and Florida, including a recently renovated facility for FBM program personnel at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

“Reshaping our Fleet Ballistic Missile program will help us take full advantage of our engineering and manufacturing facilities and centralize key skills, saving costs for the Navy on this critical national security program,” said Rick Ambrose, executive vice president of Lockheed’s space systems segment and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100.
