TYSONS CORNER, VA, Feb. 8, 2017 IBM (NYSE: IBM) has partnered with several Dubai-based government and commercial organizations to explore the use of blockchain technology for trade finance and logistics, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The company said Monday the blockchain platform will utilize Hyperledger Fabric and IBM Cloud to help transmit shipment information, including shipment status and state of goods, in real time to stakeholders in efforts to track the import and export of goods.
IBM’s partners are the customs and trade agencies of Dubai, DUTECH, Emirates NBD Bank, du, Aramex, Banco Santander and an unnamed airline.
