TYSONS CORNER, VA, Feb. 6, 2017 Don Maruca, Quantum‘s (NYSE: QTM) federal sales vice president, has said government agencies should explore available options in the commercial industry to update their infrastructure in order to utilize and manage their data.
“Industry needs to reinforce to [government] customers that all data is not equal and its about aligning data value to storage costs that will help meet the agencies needs and reduce costs,” he told ExecutiveBiz in an interview published Thursday.
He said one of the approaches agencies could adopt is the tiered storage method that will work to increase data storage, lengthen storage periods and support user accessibility.
