TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 27, 2017 Roger Furr, executive director for corporate contracts at Mitre, has said the company aims to build on its contracting workforce and pursue contract renewals for the operation of federally funded research and development centers over the next two fiscal years.
He told ExecutiveBiz in an interview published Wednesday that Mitre has worked to diversify as well as expand its role as an FFRDC operator over the past five years.
He added the nonprofit research company currently operates seven FFRDCs for nine government sponsors.
