TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 18, 2017 The government of Canada has awarded CAE (NYSE: CAE) a potential $228 million contract modification to extend the company’s support for a NATO flight training program led by the Canadian air force, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
The company said Thursday it will continue to provide assistance for the NATO Flying Training in Canada program through 2023 under the new award, which also has a one-year optional extension.
“Since acquiring the NFTC program in October 2015, CAE has worked closely with the Royal Canadian Air Force on a range of initiatives to help improve the quality and efficiency of training, ” said Joe Armstrong, vice president and general manager of CAEs Canadian arm.
