TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 17, 2017 Harris (NYSE: HRS) has received a three-year contract from the National Spectrum Consortium to build a narrowband configuration of the Defense Department‘s open-standard voice and data waveform, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
The company said Wednesday the narrowband mode for the Soldier Radio Waveform will work to extend the point-to-point communications range of warfighters, as well as support voice and data transmissions across different terrains.
