TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 10, 2017 Iridium Communications‘ (Nasdaq: IRDM) initial NEXT satellites are anticipated to launch onboard SpaceX‘s Falcon 9 rocket on Jan. 14 after a change in schedule due to high winds and rain around the Vandenberg Air Force Base launch site, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
The rocket will carry 10 Iridium NEXT satellites to space in an effort to boost the company’s bandwidth and network capacity, CNN reported Sunday.
“The Iridium team has been anxiously awaiting launch day, and were now all the more excited to send those first ten Iridium NEXT satellites into orbit, ” said Iridium CEO Matt Desch.
