TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 3, 2017 Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) will employ a backup communications interface for its delivery drones as a first line of defense against jamming, hacking and human attacks, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
The company plans to utilize a “mesh network” of multiple autonomous vehicles upon the compromise of a drone’s primary and backup communications systems to help guide the attacked drone to safety and prevent its package from theft, Quartz reported Thursday.
