TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 28, 2016 BWX Technologies‘ nuclear operations group has received a $35 million contract from General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) Electric Boat subsidiary to develop and construct Virginia Payload Module launch tubes for the Virginia-class submarine program, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The VPM tubes are comprised of four large-diameter payload tubes and will be fabricated at BWXT’s manufacturing facility in Indiana in 2017, the company said Tuesday.
