Lockheed Martin to Update Air Force GPS Satellite Ground Control System


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 13, 2016 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) will update the U.S. Air Force‘s GPS satellite ground control system to support GPS Block III satellite operations as part of the completed Contingency Operations contract, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The company said Monday the modification is designed to allow the ground control system to manage the position, navigation and timing missions of GPS III satellites upon their launch.
