Cubic (NYSE: CUB) has purchased U.K.-based embedded technology provider Vocality International for approximately $10 million in a push to add new expeditionary communications and ISR processing, exploitation and dissemination to its C4ISR portfolio.
The acquisition adds new content and intellectual property to programs of record within Cubic’s mission solutions business, the company said Wednesday.
“The addition of Vocality expands our C4ISR portfolio…Â and will provide further opportunities in higher growth and higher margin markets, ” Cubic President and CEOÂ Bradley Feldmann said.
San Diego-based Cubic started its C4ISR-focused acquisition strategy in December 2014 through the $114.5 million purchase of DTech Labs and one year later announced $271.5 million in combined deals for GATR Technologies and TeraLogics.
“Vocality is well aligned with our current capabilities and solutions and their technologies will provide additional opportunities to further integrate our architecture, serve our customers in the defense industry and expand offerings for transportation and other key vertical markets, ” said Mike Twyman, president of Cubic’s mission solutions business.
