TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 29, 2016 ” Matt Desch, Iridium (Nasdaq: IRDM) CEO, announced in a Twitter post Nov. 21 that the stage 1 booster of SpaceX‘s Falcon 9 rocket has been delivered to California to support the launch of 10 Iridium satellites, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
Ars Technica reported Nov. 21 SpaceX has indicated Iridium may not be the first customer to have its payload launch aboard the Falcon 9.
The booster will be part of the rocket that will carry Iridium’s satellites to space as part of the company’s NEXT constellation project.
