TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 22, 2016 The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration has awarded an ASRC Federal business unit a potential five-year, $35 million contract to provide engineering support for the agency’s Alaska-based satellite operations facility, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
ASRC Federal Technical Services will provide operations and maintenance services to the facility as part of the NOAA Fairbanks Command and Data Acquisition Station Operations and Maintenance contract, the company said Thursday.
“We are extremely pleased to continue supporting satellite operations at NOAA Fairbanks, ” said Mark Gray, ASRC Federal president and CEO.
He added that the company’s technical services unit will work to support NOAA to gather meteorological and environmental data.
