TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 17, 2016 The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has awarded a grant to a General Atomics business unit to study and assess infrasound technology as a method to detect tornadoes, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems will partner with the University of Alabama in Huntsville to perform work under the Verification of the Origin of Rotation in Tornadoes Experiment Southeast research program, the company said Wednesday.
