TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 7, 2016 The U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has awarded BAE Systems a $13.3 million contract modification to extend its support for the agency’s Adaptive Radar Countermeasures project for airborne electronic warfare systems, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
The ARC programs mission is to enable airborne electronic warfare (EW) systems to counter new, unknown, and adaptive radars in real time.
BAE said Thursday it will conduct algorithm development and advanced readiness testing, as well as support the transition of ARC technologies to airborne warfare platforms, such as fifth-generation fighter jets under the contract.
