TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 7, 2016 The U.S. Air Force has awarded a Harris (NYSE: HRS) subsidiary a $53 million firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to modernize the military branch’s ground-based counter communication system, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
Harris Space and Intelligence Systems will update the Block 10.1 systems to the Block 10.2 modification, provide Block 10.2 systems and conduct engineering studies under the contract, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
The Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, El Segundo, California, is the contracting activity.
