TYSONS CORNER, VA, Oct. 31, 2016 Iridium (Nasdaq: IRDM) has entered into an agreement with Japan-based construction and mining equipment manufacturer Komatsu to integrate their asset tracking and monitoring service and vehicle monitoring technologies, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
Komatsu’s KOMTRAX system will use Iridium’s network to deliver information on vehicle location and health, diagnostics and proactive maintenance data worldwide, Iridium said Thursday.
The McLean, Virginia-based company added its satellite machine-to-machine communications offering will also support Komatsu to provide telematics and maintenance services to its customers as part of the agreement.
