Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) will continue to provide logistics support for the U.S. Army‘s MQ-5B Hunter tactical unmanned aircraft systems under a two-year, $190.3 million contract.
The Army Contracting Command received one bid for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract and obligated $44.2 million at the time of award from the military branch’s operations and maintenance funds in fiscal 2017, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
Work will occur in Arizona and Afghanistan through Oct. 30, 2018.
According to Northrop, the Hunter UAS is equipped with multimission payloads designed to collect intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data in real time and transmit the information to military personnel on the ground via the Tactical Common Data Link.
