Ryan Kearny
Ryan Kearny, an 18-year veteran of F5 Networks (Nasdaq: FFIV), has been named chief technology officer and executive vice president for product development at the Seattle-based application delivery firm.
F5 said Wednesday Kearny will report directly to President and CEO John McAdam and oversee the company’s efforts to innovate and develop technology products.
Ryans experience, perspective, and technical acumen make him an ideal fit to take F5 further into emerging areas, particularly around software and cloud technologies, McAdam noted.
He added that Kearny and his teams will aim to deliver platforms designed to support cloud, data center and application-based environments.
Kearny will also lead all product engineering personnel and implement technology roadmap in his new position.
He previously served as senior VP of product development and has helped expand F5’s BIG-IP product line into virtual editions as well as develop the TMOS architecture.
