A joint venture of SOS Security LLC–Evik Seguranca e Vigilancia has been awarded a five-year, $83 million contract by the State Department to continue to provide security services at the U.S. embassy in Brazil.
The SOS Security-Evik Seguranca e Vigilancia JV will also help DoS secure U.S. consulates located in Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, SOS said Wednesday.
The companies have jointly provided similar security services to the U.S. embassies in Brazil since 2010 and SOS also supports the department’s security efforts in Jamaica.
We are honored to be re-awarded the contract for the U.S. Mission Brazil, said Edward Silverman, SOS chairman and CEO.
Our capabilities are complemented by those of our joint venture partner, EVIK, and we are excited to continue our relationship with the Department of State, Silverman added.
