TYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 4, 2016 The Lockheed Martin-built F-35A has reached initial operational capability after completing system tests and meeting requirements set by the U.S. Air Force, Executive Gov reported Wednesday.
The Air Force said Tuesday Gen. Hawk Carlisle, commander of the Air Combat Command, declared the F-35A “combat ready” alongside the airmen and other crew who will operate the aircraft.
