TYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 2, 2016 Red Hat (NYSE: RHT) and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) have extended their partnership to support public sector clients to adopt Microsoft’s cloud computing technology through the former’s open-source software subscriptions, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
Paul Smith, Red Hat public sector business senior vice president and general manager, wrote in a blog entry published Saturday that Red Hat’s cloud access program will help clients transfer their subscriptions to Azure and Azure Government.
“[With] the ability to use Red Hat subscriptions consistently across their deployments, including Azure Government, customers can benefit from same level of security, control and management Red Hat offers across the data centers four footprints, ” he said.
“Were happy to continue our collaboration with Microsoft to help customers across industries embrace hybrid cloud, and todays news marks the latest milestone.”
