TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 22, 2016 — Serco Inc. will work to update the electromagnetic pulse protection of the U.S. Air Force‘s anti-missile radar system in Greenland under a $38 million contract, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The company said Friday it will employ a design-build-install-test approach to update the protection mechanism on the Ballistic Missile Early Warnings Systems at Thule Air Base in support of Air Force Space Command and U.S. Strategic Command.

Dan Allen, chairman and CEO of Serco Inc., said the company’s base modernization and C4ISR service teams will work on the contract, which is in line with Serco’s defense market growth strategy.
