Mark Horan, formerly a vice president and general manager at Dell, has joined Avalon Technologies as CEO.
Horan will work to help Avalon refine the company™s market strategies, expand its sales and technical teams and extend the business into the education, healthcare and commercial enterprise industries, Avalon said Tuesday.
The 35-year industry veteran most recently led Dell™s team of sales professionals that oversaw commercial and public sector accounts and the advanced systems group.
“Mark has worked at the highest levels of the [information technology] industry and his expertise, relationships, and stellar reputation as a customer advocate will have an immediate impact at Avalon, ” said Brian Flynn, Avalon founder.
Horan held sales and marketing positions at IBM (NYSE: IBM) for 15 years before he joined Dell.
