Scott Miller, president of FCi Federal since 2012, will serve in the additional role of CEO at the Ashburn, Virginia-based operations management and professional services contractor.
FCi Federal said Monday that Miller will bring three decades of management and operations experience in the federal and commercial markets to his new position.
He has managed the company’s operations, divisions and services as well as led its corporate program management and shared services functions over the past four years.
He started his career at General Electric and later served as a vice president at MRJ Technology Solutions and as chief operating officer of HPTi before he moved to FCi Federal.
Sharon Virts, who has led FCi Federal as its chief executive since she established the company 25 years ago, will transition into a new role as executive chairman.
Under her leadership, the company says annual revenue grew from $1.5 million in 2007 to about $153 million in its last fiscal year.
She previously served as director of government programs at Prentice Hall/Maxwell Macmillan Publishing, a program development manager at Computer Sciences Corp. and a federal junior fellow at the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
