TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 26, 2016 Susan Lawrence, senior vice president for defense at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH), has said that acquisition lessons learned from her current job in industry can be applied to her previous work with the military, Executive Gov reported Friday.
Signal Magazine reported Thursday that Lawrence, a former chief information officer of the U.S. Army and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2016, joined other participants at the Defensive Cyber Operations Symposium 2016 to discuss ways to update acquisition systems.
“We have to get our leadership to talk to the right community to say, ‘You have to fix the process, ‘” Lawrence said at the event, noting that some federal agencies have already adopted measures to accelerate information technology acquisition.
