TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 25, 2016 Riverbed Technology has received a security certification from the Defense Information Systems Agency for the company’s SteelHead wide-area network optimization technology, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
Riverbed said Wednesday DISA certified SteelHead as compliant with the Secure Technical Implementation Guide standards, which would facilitate its deployment at the Defense Department and federal civilian agencies.
“DoD and civilian personnel rely on networks to instantly and securely access the tools they need to meet mission goals, ” said Davis Johnson, vice president of Riverbed’s public sector business.
He added that the company’s application performance platforms work to help federal users meet security requirements.
