Ted Diacoumis, formerly vice president of application services at AECOM (NYSE: ACM), has joined information technology provider Merlin International as its new vice president of federal civilian programs.
Diacoumis brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial and government contracting, with emphasis on IT, software development and systems engineering, Merlin said Monday.
He will lead the Merlin federal civilian program team’s efforts to deliver IT services to the federal government, the company added.
“Ted has a great deal of experience building and managing large technical teams and delivering IT services to a number of civilian and defense agencies, ” said Merlin CEO David Phelps.
Diacoumis, a certified Project Management Professional, held several leadership roles at URS Corp. before AECOM acquired it in late 2014.
He has also previously worked at Buchanan & Edwards, ActioNet, Truestone, Sentori, CSG Systems, Lucent, Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and AMS.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in policy studies and a master’s degree in information management from Syracuse University.
